Dear Dr. Cargill,
I received a copy of your letter to
Mr. Graves and feel compelled to
take this opportunity to contact
you. I have been in touch with
others in the scientific community
who, like you, are uncomfortable
with some of Mr. Graves’s
accusations and statements which,
some of us feel detract from the
seriousness of the subject, and
professional integrity of the
inquiry, concerning the theory that
the origin of HIV/AIDS is intimately
linked to
the Special Virus Cancer Program.
Mr. Graves, as his collaborators and
detractors both know, has been under
great stress, both financially and
physically due largely to his HIV
status and ongoing treatment. I have
spoken with him at length about his
various concerns, and that,
unfortunately, some of his writings
and pronouncements reflect more
frustration on his part than
anything else. However, despite
this, he should be credited for
having accomplished what numerous
others failed to attain. That is,
prompting a much needed official
government investigation into the
Special Virus Cancer Program
regarding the man-made origin theory
of HIV/AIDS.
Furthermore, this open dialogue
between you and Mr. Graves reflects
poorly on everyone engaged in this
most serious inquiry. More
importantly, cross accusations
regarding your and Mr. Graves’s
personal or professional character
fail to serve anyone when the facts
should remain the central focus of
discussion and debate.
In essence, the man-made and even
genocidal origin theories of
HIV/AIDS are legitimate, if not
urgent, scientific concerns based on
the documents, including contract
summaries, published in the Special
Virus Cancer Program (SVCP) series
of NCI/NIH reports dating back to
the early 1960s through late 1970s.
My colleagues and I would,
therefore, greatly appreciate your
critical review of this
documentation that has compelled Mr.
Graves’s legal and political
actions. We would greatly appreciate
your considered written opinion
regarding these facts in relation
to, or contrasted with, the
generally accepted theory that
HIV/AIDS evolved naturally and not
iatrogenically.
As the author of the national
bestselling book “Emerging Viruses:
AIDS & Ebola—Nature, Accident or
Intentional?” (Tetrahedron
Publishing Group, 1996), the source
text that prompted Mr. Graves’s
investigation of said
SVCP project reports, I was
interviewed yesterday by members of
the GAO’s scientific panel.
They have asked that I send them
copies of both my book, as well as
my scientific summary report
published last May in the peer
reviewed journal of Medical
Hypothesis (Harcourt Health Sciences
Company, 2001—Vol. 56., No. 5, pp.
677-686). If you have not read these
works, you and other dedicated
minority health officials should.
Please let me know if you wish to
have me send you copies of these
works along with any of my previous
publications that many critical
reviewers and scientists feel should
be compulsory reading in the
interest of American public health,
especially minority health.
You can contact me or my assistants
by calling 1-888-508-4787.
I look forward to hearing from you
and receiving your written opinion
regarding the many questions raised
by these documents.
Yours in the Spirit of health,
Leonard G. Horowitz, D.M.D., M.A.,
